This is the quilting on the back of my newest doll quilt made for a swap. I used red thread to do the quilting, which I wasn't too sure about but now that it's quilted, I'm finding that I like it that way.

Black, red and white doll quilt

A picture of the little doll quilt just before I quilted it with red thread. I quite like how it has turned out. Now, I''m getting ready to put the binding on; which is my favorite part of making these little quilts.
This little quilt is for a swap that I'm involved in. I hope that my swap partner likes it.

here's the front of that primitive heart. I made it from very old ticking found at a local flea market and vintage buttons and beads. I filled it will cotton stuffing and lavender.

Ready to be mailed....

January's S.T.U.D.

Here is my S.T.U.D. doll quilt all finished and ready to be mailed on Tuesday when the Post Office is open again. Sure hope my swap partner will be happy with it. I like it very much and would like to keep it; which is how I decide if a something is good enough to be given to someone. I have to admit that the binding gave me quite a lot of problems and I'm not exactly sure why. I put the binding on the same way that I have on every other quilt that I've made; but this one was harder than it should have been. Mmmmm.....

It's the beginning of another doll quilt. A true scrap quilt because I found all the pieces in my scraps. I love the color combination. I found inspiration from http://spamantha.typepad.com/diary_of_a_mad_fabriholic/2007/07/all-dolled-up.html. A very lovely quilt.

In my kitchen corner

A couple more gifts that my sister sent to me for Christmas, plus a Double Irish Chain scrap quilt that I made a while ago.

About Me

My photo
I'm a wife and a mom to two grown sons. I am owned by 3 cats and 1 dog. I love chocolate but lately I've been cutting back on my chocolate love...and I've been drinking tea and exercising. Yeah, I miss chocolate but my jeans fit me better.
